Between Easter yesterday and my Jazz Composer's Forum performance this
Sunday - which all of you are attending, right? - I've got new
beginnings on my mind. (And for you Johnson City people, no, not
that one.)
I'm not one to
wallow in rebirth symbolism, but I'm also not one to ignore an obvious
opportunity to shake up my comfortable way of thought. Church
services don't move me emotionally anymore, but they certainly move me
intellectually. And the JCF (which was one of the main reasons
that I finally got this website up and running) is stirring up some
creative flow that's been lacking for a while. There's a new
phase starting for me, and it feels good.
I will be using
this space for all kinds of thoughts, whether profound or not, and
that's a new beginning that feels good, too. I hope you will
enjoy what I have to say.
