The Dresden Dolls made one of my favorite albums of the last few years, probably one of my favorites of all time.  They're  touring the world, playing to thousands of people, and generally leading the rock star life - and they're flat broke.  NPR recently aired a story about them focusing on the financial life of a band that seems to be making it big.  Anyone who wants to be a working musician, or is just curious about how it all works, should check this out.
